
Ibn Sina Unit at the College of Nursing
As part of the mechanism for adopting e-learning, upgrading educational institutions and teaching staff, and using modern technologies in education in accordance with well-studied practical steps to achieve the best results in serving the university’s education system and serving the teaching staff and students, the Ibn Sina Unit was established within the units affiliated with the Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning at the University of Baghdad and is part of the Faculty of Nursing.
First: Vision of Unity
Leadership and excellence in providing high-quality e-learning services that keep pace with the characteristics of the era and emerging applications, and strive to use e-learning methods with academic quality and distinctive excellence.
Second: The Message of Unity
Work to promote the use of all modern technologies in the field of education and learning among academic leadership, faculty, and students in their respective fields, and supporting outstanding efforts to provide an integrated e-learning system that leads to an advanced, developed, continuous, and modern educational environment that is open to civil society and all higher education institutions locally, regionally, and internationally.
Third: Objectives of the Unit
1. Promoting e-learning culture in the college and developing the capabilities of faculty members, support staff, employees, and students to effectively apply e-learning.
2. Overcoming educational problems and keeping pace with the development of the educational process by using information and communication technology to convert courses into e-courses that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
3. Follow up on high-quality e-lectures to be presented via the Internet to benefit both students and teachers and help faculty members build e-platforms and lessons.
4. Faculty members use various and different methods to assess student performance and conduct tests.
Fourth: The role and achievements of the unit
- Follow up on the creation of electronic classes by teachers and prepare statistics on this, as well as follow up on student attendance and absences in electronic classes.
Daily follow-up on student attendance and absences in face-to-face lectures and documentation thereof.
Follow up on weekly lecture schedules for undergraduate and graduate studies and documentation thereof.
Organizing courses and workshops in the college and scientific departments and presenting everything new in the field of e-learning.
Encouraging teaching staff to attend seminars and workshops on how to conduct tests and exams electronically.
Attending seminars, workshops, and discussion sessions held at the Ibn Sina Center at the University of Baghdad and other universities.
Attending the activities of the Ministerial Team for E-Learning affiliated with the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, adhering to its directives, and communicating them to the college.
